Due to high demand for Homeward Cash Offers, our current approval turnaround time is longer than usual. Here’s how our approval process works:

  1. You complete your application. This takes about 30 minutes. We usually follow up to ask for additional information such as W2s, bank statements, and other financial records to ensure your application is ready for review. This often involves some back and forth and can take several days. The faster you respond, the sooner we can ensure we have everything we need to review your application.
  2. Homeward Mortgage underwrites and approves you. Once we have all of the documentation we need, this step can take up to five business days. Because we purchase a home on your behalf with our cash, we need to confirm your mortgage eligibility, so we do a full underwriting. This thorough process allows us to pre-approve you for a loan from Homeward Mortgage at the same time that we approve you to make a Homeward Cash Offer. We’ll do a soft credit pull and generate a valuation on your current home (if you have one to sell). Then we’ll  approve you for a certain amount so you’ll know your budget and can start shopping.
